Little Viking collection – a tribute to Norse mythology and protection for little explorers

As a tribute to Norse mythology, including the Norse goddess Frigg, who inspired the FRIGG brand, to our Scandinavian roots and to the many fascinating stories about the Vikings, the Little Viking collection was created. The pacifier shield is strongly inspired by the round shields of the Vikings, decorated with the Fehu symbol from the runic alphabet. Fehu is associated with fertility and fruitfulness, abundance and spiritual wealth.

Little Viking is made to protect and keep safe the small, curious and brave Vikings of the world.

The Little Viking collection includes 6 pacifiers, each named after a famous figure from the Viking Age. Viking KNUD – Inspired by Cnut the Great (‘Knud den Store’ in Danish), a famous Viking and prominent king of Denmark, England and Norway in the early 11th century. Cnut the Great is known for successfully uniting these regions into the mighty North Sea Empire, for his effective and stable rule and for his efforts to integrate his diverse territories. His reign marked an important period of prosperity and influence in Viking history.

In the FRIGG colour universe, Knud's colour is known as Dusty Blue. Viking HARALD – Inspired by Harald Bluetooth, who ruled Denmark and Norway in the 10th century. He was known for his efforts to unite the Danish tribes into one kingdom under his rule and played an important role in spreading Christianity throughout Scandinavia. The Bluetooth technology we use today is named after him in honour of his uniting abilities, as this technology enables different devices to connect seamlessly.

How to clean a Frigg pacifier?

Proper care is needed to protect our little ones from bacteria and viruses and to keep the pacifier hygienic.

1. Place the pacifier in a clean bowl
2. Pour boiling water over it
3. Let the pacifier soak for about 5 minutes
4. Take the pacifier out of the water and let it dry
5. Once the pacifier is dry enough, squeeze the excess water out of it

Warning: Do not boil the pacifier in a pot. Frigg pacifiers are not meant to be boiled, and the high temperature will destroy them. Sterilisers, washing machines, detergents etc. are also not suitable for cleaning.

How often should you clean a Frigg pacifier?

The younger the child, the more important it is to protect them from bacteria and viruses and to keep the pacifier hygienic. A small child's immune system is not fully developed until the age of three months. The pacifier needs to be cleaned more often when your baby is 0–3 months old.

The pacifier should be cleaned every time it falls on the floor. No matter how often you clean the pacifier, it is important to replace it in time.
