✅ Best suited for
The Nuna Pipa Urbn infant car seat is designed for the youngest babies, from birth up to approximately 75 cm in height or 13 kg in weight, and is installed rear-facing. Thanks to integrated Isofix connectors, you can install it directly onto the Isofix system in your car without an additional base, and if needed, also with the car's seatbelt. It's an excellent choice for families who frequently switch vehicles, use taxis or rental cars, since it's also certified for use on an airplane. The infant car seat is compatible with all Nuna strollers, making everyday use easier.
🤔 Less suitable if
The seat is not suitable for children taller than 75 cm or heavier than 13 kg – at that point you need to move on to the next group of car seats. Also, never install the infant carrier on a seat with an active airbag.

A turning point in the field of children's equipment innovation
The Nuna® brand has provided another revolutionary novelty on the global market. The unique and extremely light Nuna® Pipa™ Urbn infant carrier with integrated Isofix connectors allows the installation of the infant carrier on the Isofix system in the car without an Isofix base. The ultra-light infant carrier with a weight of only 3.3 kg (weight without the support cushion and canopy) enables an ultra-light way of traveling by car and completely simple installation on a stroller (it is compatible with any Nuna® stroller model). The first infant carrier of its kind in the world provides a practical and safe solution for reliable travel with any form of transport.
Driving with a family car, taxi, or rented vehicle – travel in the way that suits you best, easily and relaxed. The Nuna® Pipa™ Urbn infant carrier also has a TUV certificate for air traffic and is approved for use on an airplane.
Driving with children in the most modern way
Modern parents often navigate between rushing to work, kindergarten, school, for coffee, lunch, to the store – by car or taxi and increasingly also by car-sharing (vehicle rental). Daily and weekend adventures are intertwined with shorter and longer family breaks, which we often travel to by plane. The lively everyday life of a family with a baby is very dynamic nowadays. The advanced Nuna® brand offers a solution for traveling with a baby in a new way. The Nuna® Pipa™ Urbn infant carrier enables a safe and practical solution. You can use the carrier in any vehicle (car, taxi, rented vehicle) and even on an airplane.
Due to the integrated Isofix connectors in the car seat itself, the use of an Isofix base is not required. You can install the carrier directly on the available Isofix system in the vehicle. In case the vehicle does not have an Isofix system, you can install the carrier using the car seat belt, with the help of the side and rear belt guides. The guides are also integrated.
Safety, safety, and once again safety – the only constant on the path of exceptional development of the renowned Nuna® brand
The Nuna® brand always puts the safety of the youngest family members first. The professional team adheres to this principle even when designing innovations such as the Nuna® Pipa™ Urbn infant carrier, which represents an important milestone on the path of baby gear development. This is the first car seat of its kind that also impresses with top-quality materials that ensure safety and comfort. Full safety is ensured by a strong and durable frame and Aeroflex™ foam, which is light and flexible and as such can reduce the force transferred to the child in the event of a collision - it absorbs and dissipates the force. The built-in SIP system provides additional side protection in the event of a side impact. The Nuna® Pipa™ Urbn carrier is equipped with a 3-point safety harness with soft padding in the shoulder area and the lower buckle. The carrier meets the latest ECE-R129/03 standard. The Isofix connectors integrated into the car seat are equipped with color indicators to ensure that you can be sure the carrier is correctly installed.

What crash tests have been performed on the Pipa™ Urbn carrier?
